Should I give my kitten wet cat food or kitten dry cat food?
Both wet and dry cat food can be incorporated into your kitten's diet for a balanced and nutritious meal plan. Wet cat food provides hydration, is palatable, and easy to eat, while dry cat food can help keep your kitten's teeth clean and provide variety in texture. It is recommended to feed a combination of both types to ensure your kitten is getting a well-rounded diet.
How much kitten dry food should I feed my cat if they eat wet kitten food too?
This depends on the wet food your are feeding your kitten. If you email us the wet food brand, the exact recipe, the amount you are feeding and how frequently to help@tippaws.com, we'll be able to advise how much of our dry kitten food to give your cat.
If I feed my kitten complete wet cat food too, do you recommend jelly wet cat food pouches or gravy wet cat food?
We would recommend trying both options to see which your cat prefers. There is a wide range of kitten food available, including various kitten mixed selections in jelly as well as meats and fish in gravies (e.g. turkey in gravy wet cat food). Food pouches in jelly come in flavours like chicken dry cat food and salmon in jelly wet cat food. The complete wet cat food options ensure that your kitten is getting all the necessary nutrients (however, don't forget you still need dry food for dental health!). Some kittens may prefer the jelly texture while others may prefer the gravy. It's important to choose wet cat food that your cat enjoys and most importantly, meets their nutritional needs. Some wet kitten foods are complementary so they don't contain all the essential nutrients for a healthy diet. Always try to feed your cat a complete wet food, unless you are also feeding them a complete dry food.

Other FAQs
How does Tippaws kitten food differ from the adult cat food chicken & turkey recipe?
Tippaw's kitten recipe contains a higher proportion of fat to provide your kitten with the energy it needs for healthy growth (tip - this also makes it a healthy delicious cat treat for adult cats!). It also has a different proportion of nutrients based on what a kitten needs. Finally, the kibble is smaller so your kitten can chew it easily.
Can you feed a kitten cat food for adult cats?
While it's not harmful to occasionally feed your adult cat kitten food as a treat or in small amounts, it's generally not recommended as a primary diet. Adult cats have different dietary requirements than kittens, and feeding them kitten food regularly can lead to health issues like obesity and nutritional imbalances.
What are the benefits of grain free cat food?
Grain free cat food is easier for cats to digest, as their bodies are not designed to process large amounts of grains. This can help prevent digestive issues such as bloating, gas, and diarrhoea. Our food is hypoallergenic so it is grain-free, soy free, dairy free, gluten free. Read more about hypoallergenic cat food
